The Village of Elburn is taking proactive steps to prepare for the corona virus illness and remains in open communication with its partners at Kane County and the State of Illinois. Village staff has reviewed current Village procedures and will continue to further refine our response to keep residents, staff and visitors to Village buildings healthy, safe and informed.
As of 3:30 pm March 16, 2020, the Village Hall and Public Works buildings are closed for walk up service.
Residents and customers can conduct Village business over the phone or through electronic means.
These precautionary measures are not due to any known exposure to COVID-19 virus at our facilities; they are being implemented to eliminate unnecessary risk to the public and staff.
These precautions will allow the Village to conduct normal business throughout the entire pandemic, to all residents and to limit exposure to employees and residents by limiting public access to Village facilities.
The Village is also taking other precautions to help reduce the exposure to our employees, and potentially our residents, to ensure the continuation of services across departments.
Please be assured that our Police Department will remain staffed and ready to protect the community. Residents should not hesitate to call 911 if there is an emergency.
Water and sewer bills can be placed in the drop box near the front doors. No CASH, please! Or you can pay by phone or online.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time of uncertainty.
