We were just notified that the repairs were able to be completed without closing the crossing. The Route 47 crossing will remain open.
CANCELLED – Route 47 Closure for Railroad Track Repairs – June 1 (9am) through June 5 (5pm)
The Union Pacific Railroad needs to make some repairs to the crossing located on Main Street (Illinois Route 47) in Elburn. The Route 47 crossing closure is scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 9:00am and re-open on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 5:00pm. See the attached proposed detour map. Work is weather dependent.
