PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING

FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ANDERSON ROAD EXTENSION AND INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS IN ELBURN FROM FREEDOM ROAD TO KESLINGER ROAD

The Village of Elburn will conduct an open house public information meeting regarding the preliminary engineering study to construct new roadway pavement to fill the gap along Anderson Road from Freedom Road to Keslinger Road. The purpose of the meeting is to present proposed project information and potential impacts and to answer project questions and receive public comments. There has been an environmental document prepared supporting a Categorical Exclusion (CE) for the project in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and this public information meeting is being held to address requirements of 23 CFR 771.111.

The proposed project includes construction of a hot-mix asphalt full-depth pavement, widening on Keslinger Road for an east-bound right-turn lane, traffic signal modification, sidewalk and multi-use path construction, and decorative street lighting.

Additional right of way and easements will be required near the intersection of Anderson Road and Keslinger Road. Right of way acquisition and relocation assistance information will be available as required by the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Regulations for Federal and Federally-Assisted Programs, 49 CFR 24.

The public information meeting will be conducted in an open house format with no formal presentation. Personnel from Elburn and their engineering consultant, Engineering Enterprises, Inc., will be available to provide information, answer questions, and receive comments. Exhibits, maps, and preliminary plans will be available for review during the meeting and for two weeks following the public information meeting at the Elburn Village Hall. All interested persons are invited to attend and participate. Comments received by July 30, 2018 will be made part of the public record and considered as the preliminary engineering study is finalized.
