Elburn Receives $400,000 Grant from IDNR

The Village of Elburn is proud to announce its selection as a recipient of a $400,000 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) Grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for the Keslinger and Liberty Community Park.  The grant will provide up to one-half or $400,000, whichever is less, of the estimated cost of the first phase of the park.  The Village of Elburn and Shodeen Homes will evenly split the remaining cost of the community park.

The first phase of the community park will include:

  • Handicapped Accessible Playground
  • Picnic Shelter
  • Tennis Court and Pickleball Courts
  • Soccer Field
  • Multipurpose Trails
  • Native plantings with Interpretive Signage
  • Native Trees, Shrubs and Perennials
  • Parking
