Festivals & Parades In Elburn, IL
Here you will find a description of our most popular festivals here in the Village of Elburn.

Arbor Day Celebration
The Village Community Arbor Day Celebration will take place on the Saturday, following Arbor Day and it will begin at 10 a.m. There is a short ceremony to commemorate the day. The village is a Tree City USA member! Come out and celebrate Arbor Day!

Memorial Day Parade
The annual Memorial Day Parade is hosted by American Legion Post 630 and starts at 10 a.m. at Lions Park and ends at Blackberry Township Cemetery.  The ceremony includes the reading of "Flanders Field" and the reading of the names of local veterans buried in the area.  The Elburn Boy Scout Troop 7 hosts a Memorial Day pancake breakfast from 7:00 am to 9:30 am at the American Legion Post 630 building, 112 N. Main Street.

Elburn Days
Elburn Days is our community's largest event, held annually the third full weekend of August. The Elburn Days Parade steps off at 6 p.m. from the intersection of Gates Street and Shannon Street and proceeds east to Main Street (Route 47), then south along Main Street to South Street, and then turns west to end at Lions Park.

Lions Park will have live music, carnival games, rides, and more food than one can sample over the weekend. There are also sidewalk sales, commercial expositions, and many other activities hosted by the Elburn Chamber of Commerce. See their website for additional information.

Railside Race
The Elburn Railside 4/7 is Elburn's biggest running race, held annually the third full weekend of August. There is a 1-mile fun run, 4-mile and 7-mile race. The 4-mile and 7-mile courses cross the Union Pacific West rail line via the Anderson Road bridge, offering a stunning view of Elburn and the surrounding countryside. Veterans Day Parade

On the eleventh day of the eleventh month at the eleventh hour, the Elburn community pauses to remember our veterans. The annual observance is held at the American Legion Post 630 building at 112 North Main Street.   Fore more information contact the Elburn American Legion Post 630 at 630-365-6530.

Christmas Stroll
The annual Christmas stroll is held the Friday after Thanksgiving.  Many businesses remain open for the event that starts at 6 p.m. and lasts until 8:00 p.m. Be sure to stop by to see some guy in a red suit at the library. This event is also sponsored by the Elburn Chamber of Commerce.
