Purpose of the Village of Elburn as a Municipality
Founded in 1881, the Village of Elburn (population 4,721) is centrally located in Kane County, Illinois. Despite rapid growth pressures, Elburn is working diligently to maintain its vision of being “better, not just bigger” through careful planning and management while, at the same time, serving its residents and neighbors as an actively thriving community in the far western suburbs.
Municipal Services
The Village provides a full range of municipal services to residents within its corporate limits, including police protection, building inspection, water, storm, sanitary, street, sidewalk, and zoning services.
