Clerk & Treasurer
Village Clerk
The village clerk is appointed annually by the mayor, with the consent of the Board of Trustees. The clerk must be a resident of the Village of Elburn, and must perform a number of formal duties regarding the validation of documents officially signed on behalf of the Village of Elburn. The clerk also attends all meetings of the Village Board, Committee of the Whole, Planning Commission, and Tree Board.

The village clerk is considered the official "keeper of the records". Our clerk is Diane McQuilkin and she has served since May, 2006.

Village Treasurer
The village treasurer is appointed annually by the mayor, with the consent of the Board of Trustees. The village treasurer is responsible for the financial matters of the village, including most investment decisions. The village treasurer is not required to be a resident of the Village of Elburn.

The village treasurer is Doug Elder, Village Finance Director. However, the village is audited by an external auditing firm every year, as required by law.
